The Village on Northshore is over 730,000 square feet of retail, commercial and residential space currently proposed for a 12-acre site along the Tennessee River. Located on Chattanooga's bourgeoning Northshore district with breathtaking views across the river of downtown, Market Street Bridge, the Tennessee Aquarium, and AT&T Field, The Village on Northshore offers an intimate European setting, a vibrant pedestrian only streetscape and a first-rate downtown experience.
By successfully blending dramatic European architecture with quaint old world charm, this grounds-up development will evolve into a lively town center where people can live, work and play, and earn the recognition as a “destination first” location and a community all its own. An old-fashioned double-deck trolley will carry passengers from the arched entry clock tower to the Wharf District, complete with a boardwalk lining the shore. Rockwell's Barge Restaurant, will offer unobstructed views of the river from its open-air second-floor deck. Guests will arrive via water taxi from across the river; a walking bridge will extend over the creek connecting to Renaissance Park, an urban nature preserve.
